Bluesky Certification are a UKAS accredited third-party certification body offering credible, independent third-party certification for the manufacture, installation and maintenance of doors, windows and fire resistant products. Their schemes set out the requirements that you must meet, without specifying how they must be met, allowing their customers flexibility and innovation in the way they operate their businesses.

Efectis UK/Ireland

Efectis is an independent third party assessor of fire performance products, systems or constructions.

Based on 70 years of experience, Efectis assesses the fire performance of your products, systems or entire projects, whatever the domain (nuclear, transportation, residential dwellings, infrastructure, tunnels, industrial process and storage or offices), whatever the performance (fire resistance, reaction to fire, fire and explosion engineering, extinguishing systems, equipment etc).

Efectis is strongly active in regulation and standardisation works at National, European and International level.

IFC Certification (International Fire Consultants Group)

International Fire Consultants Group, delivering ‘Confidence in Fire Safety’.

Established for over 30 years IFC Group, are one of the largest independent specialist fire and life safety engineering, design and certification practices in the World.

IFC Certification Ltd are a UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) accredited certification and inspection body, and members of the key industry fire safety bodies, providing independent 3rd party assurance and certification services for fire safety products and services. Offering global knowledge with experience in many jurisdictions to British, European and American standards.

Certification schemes are available for product manufacturers, installers and fire risk assessors. IFCC also certify quality management systems (ISO 9001), enhanced security products and as an inspection body IFCC provide independent inspection services. As a notified body IFCC undertake AVCP work to enable clients to CE Mark products.

International Fire Consultants Ltd are an award winning practice of Chartered Fire Safety professionals and engineers with a wide range of skills and expertise.

Services include fire safety strategies, detailed design and assurance, peer review, Expert Witness and Training.

As well as providing the fire safety engineering design of complex buildings, IFC are unique, as a non-laboratory based specialist engineering practice, in undertaking the evaluation of construction products for their ability to meet legislative requirements and/or the performance criteria of fire tests. We do not operate our own furnaces, primarily because it would dilute the focus away from our independence and specialist engineering knowledge. We arrange, manage and observe clients’ testing programmes in 3rd party laboratories.

Intertek Testing & Certification Limited – Building & Construction

Intertek’s Building & Construction team provides independent testing, inspection and certification services to manufacturers across the construction and building products sector, combining technical expertise with global market access.

Our B&C team provides practical support throughout the product journey, from understanding applicable standards and defining testing requirements through to certification and market access.

For the specialist door and fire safety sector, Intertek provides expertise across fire resistance, fire performance, building hardware and passive fire protection products and systems. Our aim is to give manufacturers confidence that their products have been assessed against the appropriate requirements and that the supporting evidence is robust.

Intertek is a UK Approved Body, accredited by UKAS to ISO/IEC 17065 for relevant UKCA product conformity assessment activities. We support manufacturers seeking UKCA certification where applicable and help them understand the current relationship between UKCA and the continued recognition of CE marking for construction products in Great Britain.

Intertek’s proprietary WHUK certification schemes, ITS 09/01 and ITS 09/02, are included within our UKAS-accredited scope under Accreditation No. 0010, providing independently assessed third-party certification and ongoing surveillance.

For the European market, Intertek also provides EU Construction Products Regulation Notified Body services, supporting CE marking and conformity assessment through our European network.

United Kingdom Testing & Certification (UKTC)

United Kingdom Testing & Certification (UKTC) is an independent, UKAS-accredited fire testing laboratory based near Glasgow serving manufacturers from across the UK & Europe. Accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, UKTC provides fire resistance and reaction to fire testing for a wide range of construction products and building elements, including walls, partitions, doorsets, cavity barriers, and external wall materials.

The laboratory’s testing capability includes a 3x3m furnace with 6 frames, alongside a new combination furnace opened in 2026 offering vertical fire resistance testing in configurations of 3×3, 3×4 and 3x5m, as well as horizontal testing at 3x4m. UKTC’s suite of reaction to fire testing and smoke leakage chamber allows manufacturers to complete their full scope of testing at a single location.

UKTC is also accredited to ISO/IEC 17065 for product conformity certification, including its own UKTC ensure™ scheme covering timber doorsets and fire-resisting metal-based doors.

In July 2025, UKTC was acquired by SOCOTEC UK and Ireland, joining SOCOTEC’s wider network of UKAS-accredited laboratories and strengthening its fire safety and building compliance offering across the UK and Europe.
